Product overview
An oval gear flow meter is a positive-displacement meter. Two meshing oval gears turn as the liquid passes, each turn moves a fixed volume, and the electronics count the turns to show flow rate and total litres.
It is well suited to clean fuel and oil lines — such as the diesel feed to a generator — needs a strainer ahead of it, and typically needs no straight pipe run. Water Exchange supplies oval gear meters in Bangladesh with pulse, 4–20 mA and RS485 outputs.
Don’t confuse it with
An oval gear meter is not a turbine meter. A turbine meter counts a spinning rotor in the flow; an oval gear meter traps and counts fixed volumes of liquid, which keeps it accurate on viscous oils. For steam and air, use a vortex meter; for gas, a thermal gas meter.
