A water treatment plant (WTP) turns raw groundwater or surface water into water that is safe to drink or suitable for production. The right design depends entirely on what is in your source water.
Test before you design
A full analysis of the raw water comes first. Common problems include:
- Iron and manganese, which stain fabrics and fittings
- Arsenic in some groundwater sources
- Hardness, which leaves scale in boilers and pipes
- Turbidity and bacteria in surface water
Typical treatment steps
- Aeration and filtration to remove iron and manganese
- Pressure sand filters and activated carbon filters
- Softeners for hardness, or reverse osmosis for dissolved solids
- Disinfection with chlorine or UV before storage
Water for production
Dyeing, boilers and cooling towers each have their own quality needs. Treating water correctly before it enters the process protects equipment and improves product quality.
Keep it running
Filters need backwashing, media must be replaced on schedule and treated water should be tested regularly.
We design and install WTPs for factories, hospitals and communities, from compact iron removal units to complete drinking water systems.
